File Type FAQ

• Windows Executables (.exe)

  Windows executable files are program files for Microsoft Windows; on this site Windows executable files are usually small programs that install our games on your computer.

  To open this type of file, simply click on the link to save it to your computer and double click on the file once it's downloaded.

• Stuff-It Archives (.sit or .sit.bin)

  Stuff-It archives are packages of one or more files which are compressed to save download time. This file type is almost exclusively used for Macintosh computers. On our site, Stuff-It archives usually contain a program to install our games. To open one of these archives, save the file to your computer and open it with Stuff-It.

  

• Help! I clicked on the link and my internet browser shows nothing but garbage!

  Sometimes when you click on a download link, the browser mistakingly attempts to show that link as a web page. If this happens, just right click (or Option click if you have a Mac) on the link and select "Save link as...". This will prompt you to save the file to your computer.
